Blue Run Blueprint Series Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the bold new flagship expression from Georgetown, Kentucky's most innovative bourbon brand — and it may be their most important release yet. Blended by Shaylyn Gammon, one of the most decorated women in American whiskey and Blue Run's Head of Whiskey and Innovation, the Blueprint Series combines two distinctly different mashbills: a top-floor-aged wheated bourbon and an experimental "Founders' Mash" — an unconventional 80/15/0/5 mashbill laid down during the brand's earliest days that brings a fruit-forward, fusel character and unexpected depth to the blend. The result is bottled at 105 proof after extensive barrel evaluation — a proof point chosen specifically to deliver bold flavor concentration while maintaining the uncommon balance and silkiness Blue Run is known for. The nose opens with soft floral notes and subtle orchard fruit, leading into a warm, layered palate of baking spice, juicy apple, and cinnamon, finishing with toasted oak, lingering warmth, and a hint of dry wood heat. Approachable enough for curious newcomers, complex enough for seasoned enthusiasts — this is the blueprint for what modern Kentucky bourbon can be.
