Every leaf is a tiny painting on Oxalis ‘Plum Crazy’, a striking shamrock-leaf wood sorrel with vivid maroon foliage splashed and marked in bright pink. Add cheerful yellow flowers to the mix and you get a compact, colorful groundcover that brings instant interest to containers, hanging baskets, shade gardens, and small-space plantings.
Also known as ornamental oxalis or wood sorrel, ‘Plum Crazy’ is perfect where you want foliage color as much as flowers. Its petite leaves create a rich tapestry effect, especially when paired with chartreuse, silver, burgundy, or deep green companions. Use it at the edge of mixed pots, tucked into bright shade borders, or spilling gently from a container where its unusual leaves can be admired up close.
Plant Oxalis ‘Plum Crazy’ in bright shade to part sun with well-drained soil and regular water for best growth. Protect from harsh afternoon sun in hot inland gardens. Colorful, compact, and wonderfully distinctive, it is a delightful choice for adding patterned foliage to the garden. Explore more charming groundcovers in our Oxalis collection.
